I started to think about how others see my music taste a lot more. I already think about my music taste a lot, and I have my public Spotify playlists organized perfectly so if people look at it, they think of me and my music taste in a specific way. But having the songs I like actually played out loud for the class was an experience I’ve never really had before, and it was a strange feeling.
These songs all mean a lot to me. Every week I would usually put the songs that I’ve been listening to a lot to at that time, but also the ones that meant the most to me. For example, Atomic, Roland, Thank You For The Venom, Compulsive Liar and I Want You To Love Me are very personal and emotional songs to me. However, some songs were just songs that I had been vibing to a lot.
I’m not sure what other songs I’ll be adding in the future, but they will probably be along the same genre of alternative, emo, and indie. Really, it’ll be whatever I’ve been listening to that week.
