It’s that time of year! The chill of winter has set in in Chicago. The weather has been all over the place this year, but it’s safe to say that we are now officially done with the sunny 70s and we should look forward to months of snowy 30s.

I love the snow but I hate being cold ,so layers of clothing is a must for me. Let’s look at how the seniors at The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) dress to feel comfortable and cute in winter.

IMG_4990“Usually in the winter I do wear tighter pants so then wind doesn’t get in my legs,” Lydia Wilbon said. Many of her clothes are second-hand from her sister, mom, from the thrift store, or fromonline shopping.

IMG_4885This is me. This fluffy jacket from Target automatically makes any outfit look better, and it’s so comfy which is a pro for me because I don’t have time to look for clothes in the morning. I can throw this jacket on, leave the house, and prevent myself from looking like I don’t care at all. The color is the best part. The ripped jeans are from Hollister, along with the rest of the jeans I own.

J’Niya Blunt doesn’t shop often. What’s most important to her is being comfortable, especially through out the week in school from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. She gets most of her clothes from the thrift shop.
