My video “Girlhood” discusses what it means to be a girl. Through people’s interviews, we’re able to learn just how different we all are. In my video, I interviewed Nayeli Lopez, Charlotte Hensley, Noveli Lopez, Naillyl Romero, Nitzha Arias, Faith Gonzalez, Madison Cervantes, and Allison Filbin which each gave us a unique perspective on what it means to be a girl. This video highlights the way we all chase different dreams, like different things, yet at the very center, we’re all girls who have ambitions and who want a future for ourselves. This video shows the beauty of girlhood and I want people to feel and see the warmth and vulnerability of what it means to be a girl. To quote Nitzha “Girlhood is more sentimental, more emotional, and purely based off of love”.
